Where to Order Bottled Water in New York City

One difficult thing about living in New York City is that there are always places to go, and things to do. When it comes to the basics, like getting bottled water, it can be quite the hassle. The Big Apple isn’t necessarily known for its sparkling tap water, and if you live here, you may find yourself looking for filtered or bottled options. Lugging bottles from the store can be quite the hassle. But when you are in a hurry, here are five places to order bottled water from in the city. From Amazon Prime Now to Google Express, discover the five places were you can shop for your favorite water brand.

1. Amazon Prime Now

Amazon Prime Now is just one place where you can find large packs of water. To sign up, you first need an Amazon Prime account. Deliveries are available 7 days a week from early in the morning to night so you can always order at the last-minute. The delivery window is 2 hours with a 1 hour delivery available for an extra $7.99 charge. However, in my experience they usually do not adhere to the one hour delivery mark so I would not recommend paying extra.

Delivery Window: You can typically order within 2 hours of a delivery.

Delivery Fee: None, after you sign up with an Amazon Prime account. ($99 for an annual fee and $10.99 for a monthly fee)

2. PeaPod

PeaPod is a grocery delivery service which carries multiple bottled water brands. Typically, you must order at least a day in advance to book your time. In my experience, they can be late when it comes to delivery but they have a good selection.

Delivery Fee: If you shop an order between $60 (which is the very minimum) and $100, the delivery fee is $9.95 and for an order of $100 or more, the fee is $6.95.

Delivery Window: Order the day before a delivery or even two weeks in advance to select a two-hour window of delivery.

3. FreshDirect

FreshDirect also offers delivery in the New York City area. They deliver 7 days a week, starting as early as 6:30 AM for those early risers. Shop from well-known brands like Dasani, Aquafina and Poland Springs. Typically, FreshDirect’s prices are more expensive than other delivery services but they have a wider selection.

Delivery Fee: For first timers, you can get a delivery pass that lasts for 2 months for free. If you have ordered before, pay $6.99 for a minimum $40 order.

Delivery Window: With FreshDirect, you can place your order the day before or up to a week in advance. You can update your order as late until 11:00 PM the night before.

4. Max Delivery

Max Delivery also offers plenty of options for bottled water. The service carries bottled water from many different brands. It promises 1 hour delivery, but for a hefty charge. Although, I say there is no price when it comes to convenience! Max Delivery states that 99% of its orders come in time. And if your order is 15 minutes late, the delivery charge is free.

Delivery Fee: For orders of $100 and above, delivery is free. And smaller orders are $5.95.

Delivery Window: You can order 7 days a week, starting at 7 AM and ending at midnight.

However, the delivery window can be quite long. You can get same-day service by the end of the day, so make sure you are available!

Delivery Fee: Without a monthly membership, delivery starts at $4.99.
